Another Manhwa Plot Idea: Detective

Okay, so like, hear me out: We Get a True Crime Manhwa, also btw, this is going to be like a detective type thing, not overly violent or anything, I just want a detective FL. Got the idea for this from another manhwa, which was good, but didn’t live up to my “TRUE CRIME” expectations.

(Not me merging my obsessions)

Anyways, so like, the FL is a college student who is studying to become a criminal psychologist. This rookie is currently living in a area that is being targeted by a unknown serial killer. The fl’s friend died via the killer, and so she throws everything aside and solves the case.

But after solving the case, when confronting the killer, she’s stabbed and she died.

She wakes up in a manhwa.

The FL has never even heard of romance fantasy, so that’s new lol. She wakes up as a dull, mundane, villainess, and the FL is pissed. She hates living noble life, and she desperately wants to go back to her past world.

That is until she realizes there’s a serial killer is targeting peasant woman. The nobles are fearful, but not fearful enough, it doesn’t effect them. Additionally, the police are not prepared to deal with a serial murderer, because this manhwa takes place in a time when the idea of a serial killer seemed like it wasnt even real, some people are convinced there is no killer.

(Fun Fact: The term serial killer has only existed since the 80’s, before they weren’t called serial killers, in fact, the idea of a serial killer existing wasn’t really considered a possibility for a very long time, only begging to exist in the mind of the public around the late 70’s and early 80’s, so like, this isn’t a thing historically, even though serial killers have existed for a long time, people never really registered it)

So like, the FL knows that these people won’t solve the case. So she decides to embrace her new life as the Villainess, and solve the case. She talks to the families of the victims, gathers clues, etc etc, and is joined by a few competent team members along the way.

And ofc, we will have the whole high society stuff. She has to navigate through high society and gain power using skills she has never used before, because influence is everything. She needs to build up influence, power, and reputation, or else her investigation will be halted, discarded, and dismissed as a joke. So it’s basically detective work meets high society.

She think’s she’s out to catch a unknown killer, little does she know, the killer has been next to everyone the entire time, and these murders serve a much darker purpose than everyone thinks. (Translation; There will be a plot twist I just haven’t figured out what yet lol)
