Has this ever happened to you?

I haven't posted in a while so I'm doing it now. Has there ever been some that everyone hated on until someone else liked and now it's all the rage? Well this happened last year and with kpop and mangas. So I originally started listening to kpop and everyone was like “ew gross get away” sort of thing and all of a sudden one girl liked it and everyone start loving it. And they were all like “thanks for introducing us to kpop” like excuse me what? And another case with kpop, I started reading it in 4th grade and again got hated for it. So that naturally isolated me from my grade, then all of a sudden one girl started then everyone loved it. (Same for anime as well) So yeah and all girls did this, they just had more friends than I did and they all followed. I'm happy it got popular but no need to hate people before it.
