Can you help me with this? Im trying to see if this normal for web novel format or if it's something I should report.

For me it's confusing to separate who or what is speaking

I noticed from the 1st web novel I read that a quotation mark means they are speaking while an apostrophe meant inner thoughts. And jumping from 1st to 3rd person could happen with the same paragraph.

But in this web novel I don't see how im supposed to know when the spirit is speaking

This is a really poorly formatted novel…. I’ve noticed it before .. I think I have mentioned it in passing too……that the translation quality here are quite subpar.

Usually the dialogues would be inside “” and inner thoughts would either start with — or be bold or italic and paragraphs separation and formatting is a must for a good novel.
