On the day her father passed away, leaving her with nothing but immense debt, Livia Flington realized she had been reincarnated as an extra in a novel she had read just before her death in her previous life. That part was fine, but she discovered she was also living on borrowed time, afflicted with the Magic Corruption Disease that causes black flowers to bloom on one's skin before death. The only way to cure the disease was a precious heirloom belonging to the world's central villain: the Mercedes Duchy. She had no other choice. 'I'll just help out a little, use the heirloom to cure my disease, and then leave!' With that plan, Livia disguised herself and got a job as a live-in tutor for the Mercedes family. She found the heirloom and cured her disease. Having achieved her goal, she tried to quietly disappear like a good side character should, but... "You're right, I was wrong. Please don't go. I can't live without you, Miss/Teacher." The Young Master, infamous for being a little devil, clung to her, begging her not to leave. "I am a holy knight, meant to serve God and the Saintess. Do you know why I have come to you instead?" The knight who was supposed to follow the original female lead swore his oath to her. "Miss Livia, you are the butterfly of my destiny." The master of the empire's top information guild tried to seduce her. "Rather than tutor the Young Master, how would you like to become a tutor for the Imperial Prince? I find you quite... captivating." The male lead, who in the story should have been completely devoted to the original female lead, for some reason tried to headhunt her instead. And above all else... "Try to leave if you dare. But only if you're prepared to deal with the consequences." Excuse me, isn't that a threat? 'Just what is going on and how did it come to this?!' I just wanted to cure my disease, but it seems something has gone terribly wrong.
