Violet's First Words - Episode 87
"That's not all. The day after Bludin visited, the two of them had a full-blown argument."
"Violet talked back to the Ravens Grand Duke?"
"She did. The Ravens Grand Duke pressed her, asking when she'd started contacting Bludin and whether she'd been meeting him even after sending the engagement annulment. "
Meanwhile, Violet countered that he seemed to be interfering excessively.
After that, the two of them didn't exchange a single word at the Knight Order. The atmosphere between them was as frigid as the depths of winter.
"Violet has always been insufferably arrogant. Who would ever like a woman with such a sharp tongue?"
"The Ravens Grand Duke may have a pretty face on the surface, but his nature is absolutely vile. Not long ago, he beat two Knight Order members senseless simply because they showed disrespect in his presence."
"Curious. Tell me more."
"There are two idiots—just ordinary Knight Order members with mediocre faces, not even from my sect. Their names are Juran and Kyle. The Ravens Grand Duke didn't like their attitude, so he used a sparring match as a pretext to pummel them."
"Just as I suspected. That madman is insane. The fact that he pretended to be an ordinary student at the Academy is proof of his derangement. He's even hit me in the face before!"
"Yes, that's right. Given his nature, he may have found Violet Everdin charming at first, but now he's beginning to show signs of growing tired of her."
Marlon nodded. The mere mention of the name Ash made his body tremble.
"Just thinking about the day that arrogant bastard hit my face still makes my blood boil! I never dreamed back then that such an insolent wretch was the Ravens Grand Duke."
"Yes, so bringing Violet over would serve as personal revenge as well. It would be like stealing the Ravens Grand Duke's woman."
Hearing Bella's words, Marlon was thoroughly satisfied.
"How long will it take?"
"Two weeks should be sufficient. At least make some simple wedding preparations."
"Does your religion have any methods to make pregnancy happen quickly?"
"Of course. We'll help with anything as long as you pay. We can even ensure that Violet Everdin becomes pregnant immediately after marriage. Of course, if things go smoothly, you won't need my help at all."
Bella laughed softly. Marlon nodded with satisfaction.

"Violet, how have you been settling in at the Shatra Holy Knight Order?"
Bella summoned me the moment I reported for duty the next day.
"To be honest, I've been quite comfortable without any hardships. I've only been active as a knight three times, after all."
I answered calmly.
I was beautiful, but not as much as Bella in her own estimation.
However, Ash Ravensworth seemed to favor me. Bella felt envious and jealous.
'Our Sect Leader wishes for me to seduce the Ravens Grand Duke and extract information about the Seven Sins....'
But who was being seduced and who was doing the seducing?
The Ravens Grand Duke was not an easy man. One day he was kind to Bella, the next he was cold.
It was all because of Violet. But if this woman would just disappear, the Ravens Grand Duke would choose me.
'You should count yourself lucky. You could have suffered far worse, yet Bludin Camelaine still intends to marry you.'
Bella thought this to herself. But there were still many ways to use Violet as she pleased.
Even after sending her to marry into Camelaine House, she could continue to operate as a member of the Shatra Holy Knight Order.
Grasping the weaknesses of high-ranking officials was the method of Night Shadow.
Brainwashing Violet and sending her to Camelaine House was itself a way to grasp Marlon's weakness.
Using Violet as she pleased while continuously holding leverage over Marlon. It was killing two birds with one stone.
Concealing such intentions, Bella smiled brightly at me.
"That's right, two of those were trips to the provinces to participate in rituals. It must have been tedious?"
"Even the single ruin exploration mission was easy, and the senior knights handled almost everything, so there was nothing for me to do."
"Did you go with Juran and Kyle?"
"Yes."
After being scolded by Ash, Juran and Kyle became cautious about everything.
I could tell without seeing. They were exaggerating their diligence, worried that I might speak ill of them to Ash.
They were practically performing my duties for me.
When Bella realized this, a slightly bitter expression almost crossed her face. But she maintained her composure and smiled as she spoke.
"Those two seem to have matured lately. They must have learned from watching the diligent Violet."
"Thank you for saying so. So the reason you called me today is...."
"Ah, the special training method I mentioned before... For someone with a rare constitution like yours, Violet. I think I can begin the special training designed for such gifted individuals right away."
"Have you gathered all the records?"
My eyes widened.
"Yes, I've analyzed all the miscellaneous records sent from the Regional Records Office and even received verification from a training specialist. I'll be instructing you personally."
"The Knight Commander herself? You're helping me train despite being so busy?"
"My duty is to serve the knights of this order. There's no need to elaborate. We'll begin residential training from now on, so please inform your home that you're departing on a mission."
I heard that I'm currently estranged from my family and living with my Uncle.
There was no need to investigate. It had already been covered in newspaper articles.
The fact that my Uncle was a renowned Barrier Master—someone known in the industry—had also become quite a topic of conversation.
Missions at the Shatra Holy Knight Order were naturally frequent. No one would find it strange if I disappeared for a while.
"I understand. Since knight duties involve so much travel, my Uncle will understand. But is it alright without any preparation?"
"Of course. The most important thing is mental and physical readiness. Follow me."

"First, you must take this medicine and fall into a deep sleep. It's been prepared according to ancient secret methods."
Bella led Violet to the adjacent room and handed her a medicine she had prepared in advance.
"Medicine...? I'm hesitant to drink something without knowing more."
Violet furrowed her brow with suspicion.
"Look at these training records. You possess boundless magical power within you. If you drink this medicine, you'll be able to expand your circle by one within two weeks. That's what the records indicate as well."
It was an outrageous lie. All the records were fabricated, yet Bella spoke with perfect composure.
Violet hesitated.
"But I'd like a more detailed explanation..."
"First, we need to deplete your body's magical power entirely. We stabilize your body and keep your magical power completely dormant for even a moment. Just as blood rushes back when you release limbs that have been bound for a long time, you'll soon feel your magical power surging forth."
"But I'm also a Spirit Mage. I need magical power to summon spirits, and if I don't see Sylphir for several days..."
"That doesn't mean your bond with the spirit will disappear. You simply won't be able to manifest the spirit for a few days."
"I suppose that's true."
"From now on, we'll go to a chamber where all magical power is blocked and conduct special training. According to the records, a senior with talent equal to yours trained in that chamber for three months."
Violet still looked suspicious. But she had no choice but to comply.
Violet wrote a letter home as Bella instructed.
And she quietly drank the medicine.
That's what authority is. It makes even absurd stories seem acceptable.
After drinking the medicine, Violet closed her eyes and fell asleep.
Watching her, Bella let out a soft laugh.
